NDP Aboriginal Affairs Critic and Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell issued the following statement regarding the ongoing issue of mercury poisoning in Grassy Narrows First Nation.
 
“This community has suffered enough over the years because of government inaction. Real action is long overdue. I will work closely with former Treaty Three Grand Chief Steve Fobister, Sr., Treaty Three Grand Chief Warren White, Grassy Narrows Chief Roger Fobister, Sr., and the entire Grassy Narrows community to ensure this government meets their obligations to this community whose plight has been swept under the rug for all too long.”
