A new study from Western University suggests ongoing industrial pollution has worsened mercury contamination in northwestern Ontario’s English-Wabigoon River. Judy Da Silva, an environmental health co-ordinator for Grassy Narrows First Nations who has lived with mercury poisoning herself, says it has robbed her community members of everyday joys.
