The collection of personal information will be limited to the purposes we have identified to you. Personal information will be collected by fair and lawful means.

The freegrassy.net website contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of third party websites that we have not contracted professional services from. Please review the privacy policy on any linked third party website to ensure you are comfortable with their compliance to Canada’s Privacy Commissioner.

Your Data, Opt-Out and Right to be Forgotten

Freegrassy.net does not share or disclose any data to a third party, unless you have provided us with specific consent to do so. Information provided through Newsletter sign-ups is used merely to be added to our low-traffic distribution list. This information includes First Name, Last Name, email address, and postal code. To unsubscribe from the list you can contact solidarity@freegrassy.net to be removed from all records, or click on the unsubscribe button at the bottom of all email communications.

Email Communication

We encourage you to voluntarily share your email address, so that we can continue to inform you about what is happening in Grassy Narrows and how you can stay involved in their fight for justice. All such information is collected and stored in a manner appropriate to the nature of the data. Freegrassy.net makes every effort to ensure the secure collection and transmission of sensitive user information using industry-accepted data collection and encryption methodologies. You can read the privacy policy of our secure data collection and storage software, MailChimp, for additional information on your email and information submitted via our signup or action pages. We do not sell, trade, exchange, or reveal to anyone the specific or individual-level information in any data you provide us with, and neither does Mailchimp. 

Freegrassy.net does not sell or otherwise disclose user information outside the organization for commercial purposes. If you sign up to receive updates from freegrassy.net or if you sign on to support any of our online petitions or actions, we commit to providing you with accurate and timely information about our campaign activities. You may opt out of communication from Freegrassy.net at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our email communications.

Donor/Contributor Privacy (Donations, Purchases and Event Fees)

FreeGrassy.net does not sell, trade or share our donors’ personal information with anyone else, nor do we send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. Given the nature of our donations, we do not gather banking information from our donors.
