Update:

 

The Ministry of Natural Resources by passed our little blockade against them and they used a helicopter to get to the contractors hired by chief and council

 

the contractor ended up quitting yesterday as the serial numbers off his machinery was taken and he was threatened by mnr that his equipment would be seized if he did not stop work;

 

Today, our community men have vowed to continue the work of the contractor and try and finish up today….we will be out there and can receive texts.  but if people can coordinate themselves to receive one text message and they report to each other would be the best for us

 

WE are still out there, and hopefully we can report to you again later on

Subject: Roadworks

we will be on the road again tomorrow to allow workers to fix
a road to allow our people to exercise our treaty rights MNR threatened the
workers with a 10000 fine we need u to put our friends on alert for
our safety. Of course we will be peaceful and nonviolent. Meegwetch
